Continuing Education Consultant for the Chicago Botanic Garden
Contracted to manage City Gardens, a partnership between the Chicago Park District and the Chicago Botanic Garden (The program offered year-round courses)
- Analyzed and evaluated existing program to determine reach and effectiveness
- Designed curriculum
- Wrote course catalog and scheduled classes (30 classes offered every four months)
- Recruited local horticulturists, botanists, and others to teach classes; managed logistics
- Set up attendance, financial tracking, and evaluation systems
- Liaison between the Chicago Botanic Garden and the Chicago Park District for
use of facilities - Did market research for expanding the program into additional Chicago neighborhoods;
analyzed and mapped regional data for presentation - Scheduled a pilot curriculum for a partnership between Roosevelt University
and the Botanic Garden - Served on planning committee to map the future of continuing education programs
